Netflix Original: Jessica Jones

Looking for an interesting twist of events when it comes to superheroes? From what I can see the new show, a collaboration between Marvel and Netflix, Jessica Jones looks to be a unique fit.
Based on the articles about Jessica Jones I've read online she is a retired super hero who tried to call herself "Jewel" but failed somewhat. After retiring she as a private investigator/detective and creates Alias Investigations.
After what Netflix has been releasing of late (e.g. Sense 8, Between, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Daredevil) I am thoroughly excited for this new release. After the network-television airing of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, I am pleased to see that they introducing yet another side of the Marvel Universe.
When Marvel announced the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the first Marvel movie (other than the production of the X-Men series) that wasn't in the realm of the Avengers. This made people skeptical and threw them off. In releases all of these other TV shows that in a sense is what they are doing yet again.
The release of these has proven the test of the true Marvel fans. You either both love and watch every single movie and show or you just watch the movies, which is fine but tends to be uninteresting after a while. I think Jessica Jones will further this gap in the sense that a lot of people don't want to watch a boring TV show about some failed super hero just doing detective work. Isn't that all American TV is based on, Police/ Detective Dramas?
But either way, hit or miss, I'm in it for the long haul with Marvel and I am excited to expand my understanding of the Marvel Universe with this new show, Jessica Jones.
